IM Sniffer

Sniff and Monitor ANY Instant Message Conversations (and pretty much everything else) on your network. Free proof of concept app with source.

I wrote this in less then an hour as a proof of concept. This filters for the various IM's are not the best, but it gets the good stuff. You need WinpCap Drivers. I used VBPCAP from here: http://www.lorenzocerulli.tk/ to do the packet capturing. It is really just a wrapper for WinPCap in VB. U will need to install winPCap drivers if you have not already from here: http://winpcap.polito.it/ Plug: If you were using encrypted messenger people would not be able to read your im's. Try it. Download Encrypted Messenger from http://www.johnytech.com then monitor your IM's. If you are only seeing messages sent to and from your pc, it means you are on a switched network and are only receiving packets to your pc.
